New Word of the Day

I learned a new word from Arnon today: secondment

Speaking of learning new words, go see Spellbound, it’s a really wonderful film.

Hey, Arnon – are you still out there? I’m glad you (apparently) don’t have SARS, and I hope your nasal apparatus is healing up nicely, and I’m loving your LJ, please keep posting. It inspires to get on here myself every once in a while… :)

Been working from home since the end of last week, so I hadn’t shaved in about that long. I had a staff meeting today at our San Mateo office, so I shaved before heading down there, and botched it pretty badly. Moral: If you don’t shave for a few days, you lose that edge… (sorry)

This weekend, Em and I are going to the amazing Monterey Bay Aquarium (we’re members, just because it’s that cool a place) with JebAvaRe, which is just something nice to look forward to…

Hey Dan! Your blog sounds exactly the way you speak in real life! It’s great! Ohhhh Monterey Bay Aquarium – how fun! Miss you guys lots! Hugs to you and Em!

  2. Colossicus says:

Geeze, I shave like once or twice a week, tops, and I have no problems. What kind of cheap drugstore house brand disposable crap blades are you using anyway? Guys like you should just use dipilitories and shut their feed holes.

  3. Arnon says:

    Boo-ya..

Nope, the angel of SARS passed by our little place. I’m guessing it was that pneumonic lamb’s blood I smeared on the doorjamb. :)

The nose surgery is healing up ok. It’s weird though. The stuff that comes out after surgery…*shudder*

Right now, all is chaotic madness, as Rowan and I are frantically painting and packing to be ready to move and have the place ready in the next 2 weeks. Oi. I say oi. But it progresses, and we’re tentatively hopeful that we’ll actually be done in time. Means we probably won’t be able to do anything Pride weekend, but that’s life. I figure we’ll still qualify next year too. *grinz*

    Back to the grind.

  4. SPELLBOUND rocked dude. We enjoyed it a lot.

  5. And GIGANTIC, the new They Might Be Giants movie, is also out now, for a limited time. GO SUPPORT THE JOHNS!
