Doh! I’m so busy fretting over my poor, ailing hard drive that I totally forgot to write up the dessert party. Except that those who were here already know most of it, and those who weren’t don’t care, except for Judy, who wasn’t here, but who does care, but who already got the scoop from a couple of angles. [Huh?]

In English this time: the party was very cool. Many sweet people ate many sweet things, and we sent people home with lots more. We had a crazy little jam session, with DoFo on the guitar (he can play, AND sing!), and Ms. Sarah Town singing up a storm, and other people chiming in here and there. I geeked out and had a couple of wireless devices in the living room so that we could do realtime lyrics searches, since the biggest problem (as always) was that you can almost never find a song that to which anyone (or even everyone, collaboratively) in the room knows ALL of the words. [I had a dangling preposition there for a minute, but I caught it and took it out. Whew. That was CLOSE!]

Better still, at around 2:00 AM (no, really), we loaned some swim trunks to the remaining (4?) guests and we all hopped into the hot tub out back. Did I mention that we now have a hot tub out back? Well, we do. And it rocks. Our landpeople bought it, but it’s in our shared backyard, and they did tell us to feel free to “use it any time”. And we have, a couple of times. And yes, it’s finally true, and you read it here first: we had our first California Group Hot Tub Experience. After five long years of living here, the wait is finally over. And yes, the CGHTE is as good as it’s hyped out to be, although we had to keep it to a low roar, and still managed to wake some people up. Oops.

Pretty soon (this weekend?), I intend to post a blog entry FROM the hot tub, just to make you all nuts. Especially those of you living in the more northerly latitudes. Cold enough for you?
